New top story on Hacker News: Show HN: Darwin – Automate Your GitHub Project with AI

Show HN: Darwin – Automate Your GitHub Project with AI 15 by mlamina | 2 comments on Hacker News. Hey HN! I've been working on a project called Darwin that I'm thrilled to share with you. Darwin is essentially your GitHub agent powered by large language models (LLMs). It checks out your projects, understands them through natural language prompts, and automates tasks such as fixing issues, documenting code, reviewing pull requests, and more. What drove me to create Darwin was a desire to harness the power of LLMs in a way that's seamlessly integrated with the tools I use daily. The motivation came from my curiosity about what could be possible when writing code that understands code. Darwin stands out because it's designed for developers who want to leverage AI without needing deep expertise in LLMs or prompt engineering. It offers: - hands-off approach to automate routine development tasks. - Novel and creative ways of making LLMs work for you - A unique API for each

New top story on Hacker News: Show HN: Swift Mail. Fastmail's modern mail standard delivered natively on macOS

Show HN: Swift Mail. Fastmail's modern mail standard delivered natively on macOS 11 by knr2345 | 4 comments on Hacker News. Hello HN! I'm excited to introduce Swift Mail, a native macOS email client purpose-built for the JMAP mail standard. Primarily constructed with SwiftUI and occasional AppKit elements, Swift Mail combines the speed and efficiency of a modern mail standard with desktop-centric features such as system notifications, keyboard shortcuts, quick look, multiple windows, state restoration, dark mode, and more. Swift Mail distinguishes itself from other email clients with its steadfast commitment to the JMAP standard over the traditional IMAP implementation, facilitating seamless alignment with modern mail features. It supports various innovative Fastmail features, such as multiple sending identities, the ability to send or reply on-the-fly from wildcard (*) aliases, and the ability to swiftly transition between (true) label and folder organization schemes. New top story on Hacker News: Show HN: Attabit – AI powered news

Show HN: Attabit – AI powered news 21 by gordondavidf | 12 comments on Hacker News. Hi HN! I built a GPT powered tool that searches for today's top news, creates article summaries with GPT4, and will even read those summaries aloud while scrolling down the page for you (just click 'Play Audio'). I instruct GPT4 to be as neutral (politically) as possible and to not cover tragedies with no historical significance. What you get is a news site that heavily respects your time. I've had a lot of fun building this for friends and family. I can imagine a future where we all have a personal version of this, searching for news we care about and eventually going beyond just aggregation and moving on to custom reporting. Check it out and let me know your thoughts? Thanks.
